Vincent Lafrance (b.1978) is a photographer and videographer based in Montréal, Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Photography from Concordia University. He has exhibited in Canada, Europe and Mexico. His works are included in the Hydro-Québec art collection and several private collections in Canada and the United States. Since 2011, his photographic practice has been oriented toward representations of the night. He is interested in the strange zones of perception found in darkness in the countryside and villages of Quebec and the United States. This research has won him a Duke and Duchess of York photography prize from the Canada Council for the Arts. Vincent Lafrance has received many awards and residencies in addition to an internship in Prague. He teaches photography in the Department of Visual Art at Champlain College in Lennoxville, Canada.
