About the artwork

Please don’t stop the music : la fête en contexte pandémique

Please don’t stop the music : la fête en contexte pandémique is an immersive installation that mimics the atmosphere of a concert hall or music festival. The work is fueled by the feeling of nostalgia that is associated with the desire to party. Indeed, for more than a year, gathering places have been closed, and clandestine events are organized all over the world. This phenomenon seems to be explained by the feeling of isolation and the desire to resist the imposed rules. In this context where public celebrations are illegal, artists are trying to imagine new ways to celebrate and socialize.
