ARTIST’S APPROACH
In keeping with the 2019 curatorial theme of Art Souterrain, Pedro Lasch’s first solo show in Canada is framed as a retrospective exhibition, focused exclusively on works that test our sense of truth or systematically blur the distinction between fact and fiction. It spans twenty years of art making that is as diverse in medium as it is in its social approach. The title was created years ago with Esther Gabara for a series of interdisciplinary workshops, and the artworks include additional collaborations with Digna Rabbia, Jonathan Heredia de la Cruz, Jimena Pacheco, and Maya Little.
