2055 Stanley Street
Description
Artistic approach
Lambert deftly handles paper yarn to create remarkable, finespun works of art. Close observation of each work reveals a profusion of details and strategies: the accumulation of layers, their ordered entanglement, the variety of yarn textures, an infinite range of tones, the inscription of words. For Lambert, weaving and language are intimately connected, weaving having arisen before writing.
