Activity Malebête

Description

The artwork

Malebête

Sculpture paper mache and resin, 2015

From a certain angle, Malebête could give an impression of an abstract sculpture. However, the eye gives away a clue and we discover other parts of the face. Thus, it’s a chest but the feet contradict this classic reading of the sculpture. To this almost surrealist assemblage is added a work on textures, shapes and contrasting colours.
