Biography

Dominique Pétrin is a visual artist living and working in Montreal. Her work takes on the form of installation and serigraphs with the use of manually serigraphed paper, cut and glued to the surface of the walls and floors creating an immersive space. She was a member of the pétrochimique rock group Les Georges Leningrad from 2000 to 2007 and a collaborative with renowned artists such as Sophie Calle, Pil and Galia Kollectiv (Londres), and more recently with the artist Banksy for the Walled Off Hotel in Palestine. She has been nominated for the Louis Comtois prize in 2017 and finalist for the Sobey prize in 2014. She has exposed at the National Museum of Fine arts of Québec, participated in the Triennale québécoise at the MAC in 2012 and across the Canada, in France, in the United-States, in Belgium and in the United Kingdom.
