Cindy Dumais

Biography

Cindy Dumais lives in Saguenay where she is pursuing researches in visual arts and writing. Her work is motivated by ideas of transgression and categorization, where interiority and the outside world are reversed and where the virtuality of thoughts and the weightness of the body are confronted. Her projects are questioning the narrative, the reference and the origin of ideas. In addition to her work in visual arts she has a double occupation as an author and an editor with the publisher LaClignotante. She has presented dozens of solo exhibitions and close to fifty group exhibitions in Canada and internationally.
