Colin Canary

Colin Canary (b. Halifax, 1988) is a painter who currently lives and works in Montreal.
Canary holds a BFA from NSCAD. He was a finalist in the Canadian Society for Civil Engineers Emerging Artist Competition and represented the Atlantic region for NEXT exhibition at The Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa, Ontario. His work has been exhibited nationally.

Practice after the End of the Time (2021)
Brandon A. Dalmer, Colin Canary and Marley Johnson participate in a series of open studios and workshops to reveal the hidden structures behind technology, painting and research-creation.
Inspired by the word “generative,” they explore new collaborative techniques such as group discussions, surveys, voting, etc. They hope this collaboration enables new avenues in their respective work.
