About the artwork

Discrete Time is a project first researched between 2005 and 2007. Made from animated images (digital chronophotography), the deconstruction process explores the temporal dimension of digital media. By decomposing moving elements into several shots while keeping a faithful representation of fixed elements, these photographs become an assemblage of different moments in the evolution of the same subject over a given period of time. Instead of representing a single moment, these photographic works translate the temporal plurality into a fixed image. As in his general artistic practice, Discrete Time is not intended to trigger emotions or disturb the senses. Rather, it is a catalyst of points of view, cultural and psychological references.
