Artistic Project : Block Billboard
Inspired by Montreal’s graffiti, the Block Billboard is an interactive piece with expressive and ephemeral results. The public is able to playfully express their point of view on everything and anything, whether it be a trending hashtag, a political stance or simply a funny image to make passers-by smile. The Billboard is an interactive mural consisting of painted wooden blocks spinning independently from each other. By selecting one of the four colors on each block, the public can create a pixelated text or image. This project is a concrete and physical version of our virtual social medias. Just like the 140 character limit imposed by Twitter, the set number of blocks ensures that creativity and originality are ignited.
